Bathroom Renovation
A bathroom renovation is for when the whole room needs redoing, from the floor up to the ceiling, not just one corner of it. Arka strips out the old finishes, prepares the walls and floor, and rebuilds the room to the plan agreed with you. Arka renovates bathrooms across the center and south, from Rishon LeZion to Be'er Sheva.
What the job covers
- Removing old tiles, fixtures and the vanity
- Carrying the removal debris out of the room
- Preparing walls and floor for new tile
- Laying floor tile and tiling the walls with your choice
- Installing the toilet, sink, vanity cabinet and mirror
- Fitting a bathtub or shower enclosure, faucets and drains
- Grout, silicone joints and hanging the accessories
Good to know
Before anything comes out, decide what stays where it is. When the toilet, the sink and the floor drain keep their positions, the scope stays simpler. Moving a fixture changes the whole plan, so it is looked at during the visit. On that visit you walk through the room together, mark what moves and what does not, and settle whether the bathtub stays or gives way to a shower.
The work follows a set order. Removal and debris come first, then the walls and floor are prepared, and only then does tiling start. Fixtures, the vanity and the faucets go in last, once the tile is set and the grout has dried. Each step depends on the one before it, so the schedule is agreed with you once the scope is clear. The room cannot be used during the work, so plan ahead if the home has no second bathroom.
A few things can be prepared in advance. Choose floor and wall tile, and order a little extra for cuts and breakage. Pick the vanity, the toilet and the faucets, and check that their measurements fit the room. Empty the shelves and cabinets in the bathroom before the first day. If you are unsure about a particular item, send a photo on WhatsApp and ask before you buy it.

Scope and timing agreed
Together we agree on what the work includes and when it happens. The job starts from that shared plan, with both sides knowing what was agreed.
The work is done
The work is carried out as agreed. Questions that come up along the way, about a material or a change, go to you before we continue.
Walk-through together
When the work is finished, we walk through it with you, room by room, and look together at everything that was done.
Questions about Bathroom renovation
Yes, and it is one of the decisions made at the visit. Taking out a tub and building a shower in its place changes the floor tile, the slope toward the drain and the wall tile, so it is decided before removal starts. If only the shower corner needs work, the site has a separate shower renovation page.
Sometimes. If the floor is intact and only the walls are being redone, or the other way around, it is checked at the visit. Keep in mind that a new tile next to an old one shows a difference in height and shade, and a match for a broken tile is not always available.
That depends on the scope: how much comes out, whether fixtures move and which tile you choose. The schedule is agreed together after the visit, once it is clear what will be done. If the home has no second bathroom, plan another option for the days of the work.
