General Home Renovation
General renovation fits a home with a list of different jobs that does not need to be opened up from end to end. Instead of booking a separate trade for each task, everything goes into one plan and one work order. Arka does general renovation across the center and south, from Rishon LeZion to Be'er Sheva.
What the job covers
- Plaster and skim coat repairs on walls and ceilings
- Painting one room or several
- Replacing cracked tiles or worn grout
- Drywall work such as a niche, pipe boxing or a shelf
- Swapping a faucet or a siphon
- Laying new tile or laminate in a single room
- Taking out and hauling away old items
Good to know
The first step is a list. Walk through the home room by room and write down everything that bothers you: a crack in a wall, a loose tile, a leaking siphon, a dripping faucet. During the visit you go over the list together, add what turns up on site, and decide what goes into this job and what waits for another time. A written list makes it easier to settle a clear scope before work starts.
In a general renovation the order of the jobs matters more than the size of any one of them. Dusty work, like removal, small chiseling and drywall, comes first. Plaster and skim coat follow, and paint and new fittings come last. That way no wall gets painted and then dirtied again. When the list is long, it can be split into stages by room so you can keep living at home.
Before work begins, clear the rooms being worked on, or at least gather the furniture in the middle of each room. If there are things you want to keep, like shelves or hooks, mark them ahead of time. And if one job is more urgent than the rest, say so during the visit so it goes first in the plan.
How it works
You contact Arka
Call, send a WhatsApp message or fill in the form. Tell us what the job is and which city the home is in, in Hebrew, Russian or English.
We see the space
We come to your apartment or house, look at the rooms the work involves and talk with you about what you want and what the space needs.
Scope and timing agreed
Together we agree on what the work includes and when it happens. The job starts from that shared plan, with both sides knowing what was agreed.
The work is done
The work is carried out as agreed. Questions that come up along the way, about a material or a change, go to you before we continue.
Walk-through together
When the work is finished, we walk through it with you, room by room, and look together at everything that was done.
Questions about General renovation
General renovation is built from a list of separate jobs in different parts of the home, without touching every room. Apartment renovation plans the whole apartment as one unit. If you are not sure which one you need, the visit to your home helps decide.
Yes, though it is better to say so as early as you can. A job added halfway changes the work order and the schedule. If something new comes up, work pauses, you agree on it together, and it goes into the plan where it fits.
Not always, since the work is divided by room and moves from one room to the next. It depends on the scope and the kind of jobs on the list. During the visit you agree which rooms will be closed off and when, so you can plan around it.
